The American College of Cardiac Monitoring (ACCM)

The ACCM was formed in 2009 as the Society of Cardiac Monitoring and we changed the name in 2022 to ACCM.
The ACCM was formed to develop standards of education and practice for Cardiac Monitor and ECG Technicians where there have previously been none. 

From the Standards developed the ACCM developed various levels of Courses within Electrocardiography to meet the demands of not only technicians but of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and cardiac nurses.

The ACCM passed information to the American Board of Cardiovascular Medical Accreditation (ABCM) to assist in their development of the Basic, 12-Lead, and Advanced ECG Board Certification Examinations.

Our founder, Jonni Cooper comes highly trained after working and teaching with our late co-founder, Dr. Henry J. L. Marriott for 28 years across the globe.  During their time together, they developed the education and training resources for all cardiac professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and cardiac nurses, cardiac monitor technicians, and ECG technicians.  They were also instrumental in producing the Nation's first and only ECG Certification Examination on 4 levels of practice.  And the important thing is that you will learn the subject right the first time.   There are a host of courses out there, but they are not created equally, and none have been sanctioned by the ACCM due to serious inaccuracies and inadequacies that is not acceptable at ACCM.
